Everyone was extremely kind, patient, and pleasant to work with. The staff took the time to explain everything and answer our questions, and both the staff and doctor were very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. I will say that I was a little confused in the beginning about the differences between the Acuity, Performance, and Basic lens options. With our particular prescription and situation, I understand why Basic wasn't an option. Unfortunately, glasses can become extremely expensive nowadays, even when you choose a frame that stays within the amount covered by your insurance. One thing I especially appreciated was the thoroughness of the eye exam. Rather than relying solely on the machine that takes the initial measurements of the eyes, the doctor also performed the traditional testing where each eye is checked and the prescription is fine-tuned by asking which lenses look better or worse. I understand that some other locations may rely more heavily on the automated measurements without doing as much of that additional fine-tuning, so I really appreciated the extra care taken to make sure the prescription was right. Overall, my experience with the staff and doctor was very positive. Everyone was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and willing to take the time to explain things rather than making us feel rushed.

Went to Dr Locy for my weekly checkup after cataract surgery. She is an excellent doctor and fabulous in explaining what is next step in detail. She’s the best. And the staff is all very friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend my whole experience. One of my best experiences at an eye center.

After three days of experiencing floaters in my right eye I decided to get an eye exam. I needed to go where Medicare was accepted as that is my provider. Shawnee Optical was close and convenient, and they got me an appointment quickly. The tech took some tests on my eye and then shared the results with Dr. Elizabeth Hardin. After she reviewed the results she consulted with me and wanted a few further tests run, which we did. After those results we consulted again and she shared her concern that I need immediate laser surgery as I had retinal tears (Vitreous hemorrhage). They referred me to Dayton Vitreo-Retinal Associates in Dayton for an appointment early the next morning, where the diagnosis was confirmed and the procedure performed. So thankful for Dr. Hardin and this facility to identify my issue and assist my needs quickly. Highly recommend!

Dr. Elizabeth Hardin is very knowledgeable and thorough. All the others are all very friendly and make sure you are taken care of. Debbie always goes out of her way to make sure you have the best fit and style for you!

Lovely experience. I was treated like I had been going there for years, even though it was my first time. All the ladies were very friendly. Dr. Elizabeth was exceptional, very educational, explained everything to me and then some, she said something I loved and it was..."the more you know, the better team we are" and THAT I absolutely loved. Definitely recommend her and the entire staff.

The eye Dr. Was very nice and explained everything to me. When picking my glasses up the lady who fitted me, was very nice. First time there and highly recommend!

I used to go to Shawnee Optical when I was younger so i reached back out. Got scheduled very quickly, my appointment went well and the staff was extremely sweet to me and i really needed that. Special thanks to Stacy and Paula for being so kind, genuine, and flexible with my needs! Love this place a lot, still like when i was younger. 🙂
